i have long brown hair at the moment. i am going back to college next week and wanted i change. I have a round ish face but slightly oval, do u think it would suit me?

as a salon owner I would say you have the perfect face shape to suit a bob, and it goes without saying that the a line bob

is really top of the cuts now, yes go for it and best of luck at college, its easy to maintain as well

Personally I think you should keep it long - a few of my friends had the new posh bob cut but then regretted it and wanted their long hair back. Up to you though hun.

i was in the same dilemma a few weeks ago, SO glad i got it cut! everyone was telling me not to as i have a slightly chubby face and people said it wouldnt suit me and stuff...

but its more fun and easier to manage!

It depends how thick your hair is, it would suit your face shape but bobs seem to suit finer hair, also if you think a bob is less fuss I would warn you it probably needs more straightening and looking after than long hair because you can't tie it back if you are having a bad hair day, good luck in choosing a cut that will suit you, xx

Ive had every bob known to man over the years and always end up back to long hair. If your face is roundish I would think a bob would be fine so long as the ends at the front/sides are below your jawline, that is slimming. If the ends are cut above the jawline it makes your face look rounder. Also a straight across shortish fringe is BAD for round faces. so, a one length or slightly layered bob with the front edges below your jawline would be really nice. However, the thing about a bob is that although it isnt short, it also isn't long enough to put back into a pony if its annoying you, so if your hair around your face while you are working annoys you, either don't get a bob, or else get a hairband to keep it back from your face. Ive always loved the bob that is cut up into the nape of the neck at the back and graduates down to the front, since I had it first done in 1979! Its quicker to dry than a straight around bob, and looks cuter. There is also no need for straighteners with a bob, so long as you have a good quality round brush, preferably a bristle one, of a decent size, that should be enough with your dryer, to give you a sleek smooth finish. If you have a roundish face....the bob won't look good. It will make your whole face look circular....you don't want that. Keep your hair long. Maybe put in some layers and face frame it. My face is round too, and i find that a sweeping bang works well to balance out your face.

i think this is a very big idea but ive a round face and i dont know if you would suit it maybe you would be after a couple days you would want your long hair back also they are dieing out fast so keep it the way it is and if you want a change why not curly it as they are gona be very in for winter ..x
