How do I maintain my bob haircut?

I got it cut in a bob(short layers in the back,longer in the front) about a week ago,but it dosent even look like it because I cant get it how I want it.Also,I washed my hair right before I went and got it cut and the stylist didnt "style" it or anything she just simply cut it.Will wrapping it help?I get a relaxer this weekend,and I want it look like a REAL bob cut.
