umm not that long ago i cut about ten inches off and i got it layered and its really great i love it

I did, although my hair had been medium length. It was a spur of the moment thing. Although I didn't want it as short as it was, it was at least an inch shorter than I wanted it. Personally I didn't like it, because I have really curly hair, so I had to straighten it, and it would just curl up because it was spring and really humid...

I have had what I would consider VERY long hair since I was a child (I am 24 now). When I was 14, I cut it ALL off into a short bob. I was completely shocked, and grew it back long.

My recommendation to you would be to take it in steps. If your hair is long now, cut it shorter. If you like it that way, get it cut even shorter. Make sure you aren't going to be shocked like me and regret a super short bob! good luck!

When I was little, my dad shaved my head BALD. At least I was only 1 or 2 years young at that time...

Now, I'm planning on keeping my hair long... because I look best in longer hair.

i had longish hair, to my mid-back with layers. i cut it over the summer, shoulder length. i did it because i was soooo bored with my hair. i had long, curly hair, with side bangs for like 2 years, and i wanted to do something different. now i wear my hair short and straight, with some choppy layers. i like it. people say the new style makes me look more sophisticated. lol.

I had long hair and i cut it short and have been having it short for some time now. I love it. It gave me a big change, made me look younger and pretty stylish.

I will get bored of this and grow my hair long again and the cycle will continue.

I think you should because its fun and the hair can always grow back. Go for it!

Went to get it trimmed and the beautician went crazy!!! Needless to say it went short and I hated it!!!!! Don't do it!!!

yes, i recently did that. my hair was long, to about the middle of the back, and it used to be even longer, past the butt. I got it cut to just above the shoulders. I love it now, a lot easier to take care of

I did it. I had wavy blonde hair past my shoulders and I cut it really short into one of those pixie cuts last spring. It was very cute but too high maintenance and I started growing it out immediately.

my hair is naturally curly so it ended up having a life of its own.... went partyin and everything...

had to grow it when it moved its boyfriend in!!!! hahaha

I did a few years ago and I loved it! I got it cut super short and choppy though

I remember for the first week my neck and shoulders felt so naked and it was strange not having so much hair, but I loved it and kept it short for a long time

If you're really unsure about it, you could always get it cut a bit shorter and see if it's still something you want to do.

That way if you decide it's a terrible idea, then you're not as much at a loss

its a radicall change .. it takes alot of getting used to.. and generally i hate it when it starts growing out again because it wont do anything..

I personally like my hair long,but before you cut it talk to your stylist because it depends on what kind of hair you have i.e , thick,fine etc and how much time you are willing to spend fixing your hair in the morning.

I had long hair and cut it shorter than a bob. It took 3 years to grow out the layers. Now the layers are to a bob. I do like it now but I look at my daughter's hair and it's very long and she told me to grow it out. I'm going to do that. I don't think I'll ever cut it shorter than a bob again.

yes i have, up until i turned 12 i never cut my hair. i cut it a little above my shoulder...it was sort of weird at first, but i love it now i would reccomend it...only if you want a big change
